2nd Annual Spring Review 2007

 

 
Minneapolis, Minnesota: Minnesota Transitions High School celebrated its 2nd Annual Spring Review for their JROTC May 10, 2007 at their Minneapolis campus.
 
The mission of Army JROTC is to motivate young people to be better citizens. To this end, the Spring Review provides an opportunity for school and national fraternal organizations to reward and recognize cadets for their accomplishments in the areas of academics, service to the school and community, citizen and leadership.
 
The twenty-nine members of the 2007 class were presented to an audience of family, friends and distinguished guests. The American Legion was represented by Minneapolis American Legion Post 1 Adjutant. Mr. John Nelson. Mr. Nelson presented The American Legion Award for outstanding Military Excellence and outstanding Scholastic Excellence.
 
Receiving the Military Excellence awards were Cadet Lawrence Reed (Gold), Cadet Dustin Barnes (Silver) and Cadet Decarlos Collins (Bronze). The Scholastic Excellence award was presented to Cadet Tianna Lemieux (gold), Cadet Joanna Macias (Silver) and Cadet Delisa Robinson (Bronze).
 
The Minneapolis American Legion Post 1 remains involved in the community by recognizing and supporting those organization and citizens who demonstrate their willingness for mutual helpfulness.
